What “Research Use Only” Means
Verity Peptides is a registered assumed name (DBA) of Verity Holdings Group, LLC. We supply research chemicals and reference compounds intended strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. Every product offered by Verity Peptides is sold For In-Vitro Research Use Only (“RUO”).
Research Use Only means that our products are chemicals supplied for use in controlled laboratory settings by qualified persons, and for no other purpose. Our products are not drugs, foods, cosmetics, or dietary supplements. They have not been evaluated or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and they are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or other condition. Nothing about a product’s name, description, structure, or any associated published literature should be read as a representation that the product is safe or appropriate for any use other than in-vitro research.
Verity Peptides is a supplier of research chemicals only. We are not a pharmacy of any kind. We are not a compounding pharmacy under Section 503A of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, and we are not an outsourcing facility under Section 503B. We do not provide medical, clinical, pharmacological, or veterinary advice, and we do not provide dosing, administration, or usage protocols of any kind. Any question regarding human or animal health should be directed to a qualified, licensed professional.
Prohibited Uses
By purchasing from Verity Peptides, you agree that our products will be used solely for lawful in-vitro research. The following uses are expressly prohibited, without limitation:
- Human ingestion, injection, inhalation, topical application, or any other form of administration to a person.
- Veterinary use or any administration to companion, livestock, or other animals.
- Use as, or as an ingredient in, any food, beverage, dietary supplement, or cosmetic.
- Any clinical, diagnostic, or therapeutic use, including any use in or on the human or animal body.
- Resale, repackaging, or distribution of any product for any of the foregoing prohibited purposes.
These prohibitions apply regardless of any contrary information you may encounter elsewhere. Verity Peptides makes no claims, express or implied, regarding the suitability of any product for any purpose beyond in-vitro research.
Qualified Researchers Only
Our products are made available only to qualified researchers. For these purposes, a qualified researcher is an individual or entity that possesses the professional or academic training, the technical knowledge, and the appropriately equipped facilities necessary to handle, store, and dispose of research chemicals safely and lawfully. This typically includes scientists, technicians, and institutions affiliated with academic, governmental, commercial, or independent research laboratories.
By placing an order, you represent and warrant that you meet this definition, that you are acquiring our products solely for legitimate in-vitro research, and that you are authorized to receive and work with research chemicals in your jurisdiction.
Minimum Age Requirement
You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase from Verity Peptides. By placing an order, you certify that you are 21 or older. We may decline, suspend, or cancel any order where we are unable to reasonably confirm that the purchaser meets this minimum age requirement.
Buyer Responsibilities and Certifications
As a condition of every purchase, you certify and agree to the following:
- You are 21 years of age or older and are a qualified researcher as described above.
- You will use, store, handle, and dispose of all products in accordance with sound laboratory practice and the manufacturer’s and any third-party safety documentation.
- You possess facilities and equipment appropriate for the safe handling of research chemicals.
- You will comply with all applicable federal, state, local, and international laws, regulations, and institutional requirements governing the acquisition, possession, use, and disposal of the products.
- You will not use, resell, or transfer any product for any purpose prohibited under this policy.
- You accept full responsibility for your use of the products and for ensuring that any persons working under your direction observe these requirements.
International Buyers and Importer of Record
If you are ordering from outside the United States, you act as the importer of record for your shipment. You are solely responsible for confirming that each product may be lawfully imported into your country, for obtaining any required permits or authorizations in advance, and for paying any duties, taxes, customs charges, or other fees assessed by your jurisdiction. Verity Peptides cannot advise on, and does not warrant, the import status of any product in any country, and we are not responsible for shipments delayed, seized, or returned by customs or other authorities.
Consequences of Misuse
Compliance with this policy is a condition of doing business with us. If we determine, in our reasonable judgment, that an order or account may involve a prohibited use or a violation of applicable law, we may refuse or cancel orders, suspend or terminate accounts, and decline to do further business with the purchaser. Where required by law or compelled by valid legal process, we may also cooperate with regulatory and law-enforcement authorities. We may take these actions without prior notice and in addition to any other remedies available to us.
Governing Law and Disputes
This policy and any dispute arising out of or relating to it or to your purchase of our products are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any such dispute will be resolved by final and binding arbitration on an individual basis, and you and Verity Holdings Group, LLC each waive any right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action where such a waiver is lawful.
